Your opportunity 

 

Support the accurate and timely processing of the full trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes. The role focuses on day‑to‑day operational execution, issue resolution, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure trades are processed in line with operational controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.

The Trade Operations Analyst contributes across Trade Affirmation & Capture, Settlement & Cashflows, and Listed Trade Operations, with opportunities to gain exposure to more complex products and operational initiatives over time.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Trade Lifecycle Processing

 

  • Perform trade affirmation and capture activities, ensuring trades are accurately reflected in internal systems
  • Support settlement and cashflow processing, ensuring timely and accurate completion across asset classes
  • Monitor daily trade flows and follow established procedures to ensure smooth end‑to‑end processing

 

Issue Resolution & Controls

 

  • Investigate and resolve trade breaks, mismatches, settlement issues, and cash discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Escalate complex or high‑risk issues in line with defined procedures
  • Maintain strong attention to data quality, reconciliations, and operational controls

 

Stakeholder Interaction

 

  • Liaise with traders, brokers, custodians, and internal teams to support efficient trade processing
  • Respond to internal and external queries professionally and within agreed service levels
  • Build effective working relationships within Operations, and Front Office, Technology, and external counterparties

 

Operational Excellence

 

  • Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the documentation and maintenance of operational procedures
  • Identify process inefficiencies or recurring issues and raise improvement ideas to senior team members

 

Change & Development

 

  • Support operational projects, system enhancements, and process improvements as required
  • Participate in testing activities related to new systems, products, or process changes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the broader Trade Operations function

Must have skills

 

  • Trade Operations Expertise: Significant experience across the full trade life cycle including trade affirmation & capture, settlement & cashflows
  • System knowledge: Knowledge of a selection of market utilities, e.g. CTM, SWIFT, CLS, Bloomberg, TradeWeb, MarketAxess; experience with Aladdin desirable
  • Operational Control: Strong understanding of operational risk, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency and mitigate risk.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Team-Oriented and Client-Focused: A strong sense of teamwork and a consistent focus on meeting client needs, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have skills

 

  • Exposure to listed or OTC derivatives processing, including confirmations, lifecycle events, or settlements
  • Familiarity with derivatives-related concepts such as margin, collateral, expiries, or corporate actions
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective interactions with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Approachable and Open-Minded: Known for being approachable and open-minded, creating an inclusive and supportive work environment.
  • Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, brokers, and custodians to resolve any operational issues.
