Your opportunity
You will focus on primarily supporting the Asia business in all aspects including:

Manage Janus Henderson’s fund product set with a focus on the end-to-end conceptualisation, prioritisation and delivery of Asia driven fund/share class launches, repurposes, and closures, including share class registrations as well as assisting with segregated mandates and client solutions.

Lead the team with the fund launch process including the preparation of approval documentation, representing at appropriate Boards and committees, and working with sales on client needs.

Be the lead and subject matter expert for Product in Asia and work closely with the UK Product team by participating in pipeline meetings, prioritization of activity with UK Product and working within the processes set by global product.

Work closely with Distribution, Marketing, Compliance and TA teams to ensure alignment, strong communication and working relationships.

Working in partnership with the Head of Product, APAC, and the regional head of Client Group, as well as the global product team, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of Janus Henderson’s product strategy and ongoing optimisation of the product offering in Asia.

Managing the day-to-day activity and pipeline of work independently, including prioritisation and working collaboratively with sales on client activity.

Represent the team to the business and committees such as GSPC, IPIC and Boards.

Build strong working relationships and a liaison point for other Janus Henderson businesses across the UK, Europe and the US as appropriate.

Act as a liaison point for all third-party service providers in relation to product development activities (e.g. Nomura).

Keep up to date on regulations, policy and government actions related to identified growth opportunities and existing product offering.

Must have skills
-
Previous working experience within the funds management industry, with ideally a combination of Institutional, Wholesale and Retail experience in product; 7-10 years’ working experience in product development within the financial services industry.

Knowledgeable on the market landscape and associated regulatory regimes across the Asia region; 7-10 years’ of experience across the Asia region and in particular Singapore.

Degree qualified, preferably in a Business, Economics, Finance, Legal or Marketing discipline.

Understanding of major investment markets across most asset classes including alternative asset classes.

Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.

Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity; demonstrates perseverance and ability to adapt nimbly, navigating obstacles and objections and leading complex projects to completion.

Excellent critical reasoning and numeracy skills, with the ability to think laterally.

Ability to operate across business functionalities and strong stakeholder management skills.

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a proven ability to set and work to priorities and deadlines. The ability to handle several projects simultaneously, yet still maintaining a strong attention to detail and prioritization.

Ability to work independently in the region as the solo representative for Product in Singapore as well as work as part of and integrate into the global product team.

High level of proficiency across market data tools (e.g. Morningstar, eVestment, Simfund, Broadridge, Bloomberg, Factset)
