Your opportunity

 

  • Execute trades on behalf of Portfolio Managers, adhering to Best Execution principles. Ensure selection of the appropriate execution strategies, trading tools and Brokers for every Order.
  • Utilize technology platforms effectively to operate at a high level of value add to the investment process while ensuring and evidencing best execution of trades
  • Be responsible for trading oversight, including post trade allocation review, amendment and queue management.
  • Suggest strategies and provide guidance to portfolio managers throughout the investment and trading process including providing market commentary and information
  • Explore and advocate technology solutions to trading, operations, and portfolio management
  • Enhance and support global Janus Henderson Trading team by working on specific projects to help optimise the trading process.
  • Your role may require you to interact with other JHI offices, employees and third parties based in different time zones, outside of core business hours, such as the UK, USA and Asia.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Must have skills

 

  • Up to 10 years of trading experience
  • Previous Trading experience in Fixed Income instruments, US Treasuries, Rate Futures, Credit Derivative Single Name and Index Swaps, Total Return Swaps, and Interest/Inflation Rate Swaps
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and other market data platforms, including execution platforms
  • Knowledge of Charles Rivers or Aladdin
  • Ability to establish and cultivate relationships across the firm with extensive internal and external business partners
  • Ability to embrace data and reporting applications, proficient with Tableau
  • Operate with a very strong global team focus
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Independent judgement with strong analytical and risk assessment skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of securities and markets, trading characteristics and approaches, and factors influencing price trends, as well as a willingness to learn and adapt to new trading strategies and investment product

 

Nice to have skills

 

  • CFA or post graduate degree or progress toward completion preferred
  • Knowledge of, and or proficiency in TCA analysis and Data visualization
  • Understanding of, or explicit training in the use of programming languages

 

Investment areas
