Your opportunity
Front Office Services (FOS) sits within the Investment Management COO Office and operates at the intersection of investments, operations, technology, and change. We work closely with investment teams to turn strategic intent into practical, deliverable solutions.
We are seeking a Business Analyst with front-office and investment platform experience to support complex change initiatives, particularly across Aladdin and related investment systems. This role is hands-on, highly collaborative, and influential across global stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted business partner to Front Office, Investment Operations, Risk, and Technology teams.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for investment platform initiatives, ensuring clarity, traceability, and alignment to business outcomes.
- Support delivery and enhancement of investment platforms (e.g., Aladdin), including impacts to positions, valuations, reconciliations, analytics, data quality, and workflows.
- Champion Front Office requirements, ensuring they are accurately reflected in solution design, program specifications, and vendor deliverables.
- Facilitate workshops, working groups, and design sessions to drive shared understanding and decision-making.
- Translate complex business problems into clear, actionable components, identifying pragmatic solutions.
- Partner closely with project managers and delivery teams to balance business needs with execution constraints.
- Support testing, training, and adoption activities, including UAT design, validation of outcomes, and business readiness.
- Contribute to core delivery artefacts such as process maps, requirements documentation, issue tracking, and executive-level updates.
- Engage with global stakeholders across Australia, the UK, the US, and Asia as required.
Must have skills
- 3-6 years’ experience as a Business Analyst within asset management, investments, or financial services.
- Experience supporting investment teams or front-office-facing initiatives.
- Aladdin experience (strongly preferred), including understanding of front-to-back investment workflows.
- Strong capability in gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders and functions in a matrixed environment.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, distil key issues, and drive practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice to have skills
- Exposure to other investment platforms (e.g., Charles River OMS).
- Experience supporting platform implementations or transformation programmes.
- Understanding of middle- and back-office investment operations.
- Experience with data analysis, large datasets, or writing user stories.
- SQL or data interrogation skills.
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence (or similar delivery tools).
