Your opportunity

 

  • Assist in overseeing the valuation process with a focus on private assets, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies, including reviewing the investment committee memos and calibrations, the internal valuation materials and the third-party valuation reports.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and ongoing maintenance of valuation policies, procedures, and internal controls in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitor regulatory developments affecting valuation activities and industry standards and contribute to impact assessments and implementation actions.
  • Conduct valuation analyses across a broad range of asset classes, with a focus on private assets, and support the preparation of valuation reports and committee materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support valuation-related audits, regulatory queries, and due diligence exercises carried out by auditors, regulators, depositaries.
  • Identify and support opportunities for process optimization, automation, and enhancement of valuation methodologies to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability of the valuation function.
  • Be proactive in identifying valuation-related matters relevant to the Company and ensure effective relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills

 

  • 5+ years of experience in valuation within the fund industry, with a focus on private assets (private equity, private debt)
  • Demonstrated expertise in valuation principles, methodologies and practices
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to valuation, with a focus on AIFs
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Committed team player with a collaborative approach
  • Strong appetite towards use of technology (including AI tools) to improve and automate processes
  • Solid IT skills
  • Ability to work closely and add value within teams at both local and Group level

 

Nice to have skills

 

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting or similar discipline
  • CFA or post-graduate valuation-focused courses a plus
  • Proactive and able to suggest new efficient solutions
  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently
  • Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Self-starter with a “can do” attitude
