Your opportunity

 

  • As part of a high-performing team of lawyers in London and Hong Kong, your role will be to provide proactive and commercial legal advice and assistance which result in effective solutions within acceptable levels of risk.
  • Working with external counsel where required, your role will be to provide legal support in relation to our fund ranges, (including AIF and UCITS ranges in the UK, Ireland and Luxembourg) and more specifically to our ETF suite of funds. Responsible for the drafting, co-ordination and management of fund prospectuses and other product documentation.
  • You will work closely with the relevant business teams either independently or together with others across the wider legal team in the US, UK and Hong Kong, as well as working with our Janus Henderson Tabula ETF team.
  • Draft board memos and fund documentation including Prospectuses, KIIDs and shareholder notifications (with support from external counsel where required)
  • Analyse regulation and implement resulting changes to fund documentation, working closely with other functions
  • Advise the business in relation to the application of regulation to products
  • Partner with the business- gathering information and managing and processing comments from multiple stakeholders
  • Manage the governance and approval of fund documentation changes, including Management Company and Fund Board interactions; and
  • Ensure that local prospectus supplements are prepared and translated as required
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills

 

  • Law degree
  • 5 years+ PQE
  • ETF experience
  • Logical and methodical approach
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability and desire to continuously learn
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to find innovative solutions within acceptable levels of risk
  • Ability to proactively build relationships at all levels within the organisation
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and prioritise appropriately across a wide range of work
  • Strong professional presence with good interpersonal, team working and influencing skills

 

Nice to have skills

 

  • Financial qualifications desirable (e.g. IMC)
  • Knowledge of ESG investing desirable
  • Good commercial acumen; and
  • Ability to manage external legal advisers where relevant
