Your opportunity
- Assist in the preparation of journal entries, financial analysis and monthly account reconciliations.
- This will include accruing revenue and rebates accurately, invoicing segregated mandate clients, providing high quality insightful commentary and variance analysis.
- Research and resolve a variety of accounting items.
- Drive improvements in processes and reporting
- Understand the flow of data and how to use the various computer-based accounting programs.
- Make recommendations and assist with the implementation of departmental procedures and systems.
- Work with other departments to maintain information flow and respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions.
- Support Finance transformation through participating in current state and future state assessment activities.
- Work with process owners to identify and resolve all emerging issues on transformation program.
- Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), with post qualification experience in financial control
- Proven team leadership experience
- Good working knowledge of accounting standards (U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)) as relevant to revenue
- Advanced competency with Microsoft Excel and proficiency with other Microsoft outlook tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to accumulate, organize and assimilate large amounts of data
- Ability to work accurately and independently with excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation and delivery of workpapers
- Results driven approach, including ability to make enhancements and improvements to processes and increase transparency of analysis
- Ability to get up to speed quickly, but also enthusiasm to take time to understand the area and its requirements
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work with the team – and with others at Janus Henderson
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Nice to have skills
- Experience of working in a global organization
- Investment Management industry experience in particular in revenue
- Experience of working in a SOX environment preferred but not required
- Proficiency with Power BI or other financial reporting software
- Proficiency with SAP (ERP, BPC and BAO) will be beneficial
