Your opportunity
This is a 12-month trainee programme with a start date from September 2025 focusing on gaining first-hand experience in the team and discovering what your future would be like with us through induction, on the job learning, skills trainings and networking.
- The RFP (Request for Proposal) Team play a key role in asset generation (winning new business) and client retention by developing compelling proposals and client materials aimed at executing on sales and client service objectives.
- In this role, you will gain deep insight into all aspects of Janus Henderson by working with the database of RFP answers and individual writers to understand the scope of work the team undertake, and to assist the writers in their work. This is a great opportunity to learn about the inner workings of the asset management industry beyond the RFP function.
- Key assignments would include:
- Working with the Knowledge Management Team and others to Streamline and prepare content, in order to feed automated solutions.
- Contribute to projects aiming to streamline and find efficiencies in the overall RFP process, including full engagement with our new Gen AI RFP tool
- Fulfil simple DDQ and RFI requests as required, working with stakeholders across the business, at varying levels of seniority, positioning you strongly to progress your career in this industry by the end of the assignment
- Carry out other duties as assigned

Must-have skills
- A strong interest in financial markets, asset management and investing generally, and willingness to rapidly progress this knowledge set
- Strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal / written communication skills with the ability to confidently engage across all levels of the organization, whilst being able to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team.
- Must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced culture, and have the ability to work to well-defined deadlines
- Positive, can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn as you go
- Proficiency with Microsoft office and Teams
- Strong writing and proofreading skills, and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure data and content is accurate, relevant and consistent
Nice to have skills
- Exposure to Gen AI and Chat GPT
- A highly organized, flexible and pragmatic, problem-solving mindset, and strong project management capability
