Your opportunity

This is a 12-month trainee programme with a start date from September 2025 focusing on gaining first-hand experience in the Responsibility team and discovering what your future would be like with us through induction, on-the-job learning, skills trainings and networking.

 

The trainee will focus on Public Affairs and Sustainability tasks working alongside other team members to support the development, planning, logistics and maintenance of internal and external relationships, processes and procedures.

 

In your role, you will:

  • Support our Public Affairs function, including:
    • Public Affairs – undertake analysis and research to enable identification of top priorities for policy and industry engagement across the firm and mapping all relevant external (Government and Industry) and internal stakeholders
    • Crisis Management communications – support build out of a process to work with senior leadership and existing corporate functions such as Crisis Management, Business Resilience and Corporate Communications
  • Support our Corporate Sustainability function, including:
    • Track and respond to Corporate ESG Ratings & Disclosures
    • Identify areas for improvement in current Corporate ESG Ratings, undertake analysis for new Corporate ESG Ratings 
    • Act as back up for carbon data collection and reporting processes
    • Co-ordinating firmwide Sustainability initiatives like Earth Day together with our Community, Communications, and Facilities teams
  • Create & maintain policies, partnerships & forum list centrally
  • Work with a team of experienced professionals in the rapidly evolving area of Responsibility & Public Affairs
  • Learn about Responsibility and Janus Henderson’s policies and practices
  • Interact with different parts of the wider Janus Henderson business
  • Receive mentorship from Janus Henderson professionals
  • Carry out other duties as assigned
