Your opportunity
As the Principal of the Cloud Center of Excellence (COE), you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for developing, governing, and ensuring the successful implementation of the cloud strategy across the organization. In this role, you will also function as a Product Owner within the COE, guiding the team through the product lifecycle of cloud solutions from conception to deployment.
Strategy, Leadership, and Product Ownership:
- Develop and refine the organization’s cloud strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
- Provide leadership and direction to the COE team, creating an environment that promotes innovation and collaboration.
- Serve as the Product Owner for cloud solutions, defining product vision, managing the backlog, and prioritizing tasks based on business impact.
- Establish governance processes for managing cloud operations, standards, and best practices.
Team Management and Development:
- Build and manage a team of cloud specialists including architects, engineers, and project managers.
- Oversee the training and development of team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and facilitate career growth opportunities.
Cloud Architecture and Solutions:
- Collaborate with IT architecture team to produce scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
- Ensure that cloud architectures meet both technical and business requirements.
- Promote the use of innovative cloud technologies and solutions within the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Work closely with business leaders and IT teams to understand their needs and ensure the COE’s activities align with organizational priorities.
- Communicate cloud strategies and benefits to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including presenting product roadmaps and progress updates.
- Advocate for and educate on the adoption of cloud technologies and practices.
Operational Oversight and Product Management:
- Monitor cloud expenditures and optimize spending across cloud services.
- Implement and maintain cloud security policies and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the deployment of cloud projects and ensure successful delivery within time and budget constraints, acting as a key decision-maker in the product lifecycle.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest developments in cloud computing and technology trends.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by integrating new technologies and methodologies into existing systems.
- Lead the research and evaluation of emerging cloud technologies for potential adoption.

Must have skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Extensive experience in cloud computing, including management, development, and deployment of cloud solutions. Experience as Product Owner or similar roles.
- Experience with cloud adoption at scale (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP exposure beneficial).
- Knowledge of financial services regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder, vendor, and executive communication skills
- Proven leadership and management experience, preferably in setting up or running a COE.
- Strong knowledge of major cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in product management or ownership, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products.
Nice to have skills
- Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.) and Agile methodologies (CSPO, PSPO, etc.).
- Experience in financial management and cost optimization in a cloud context.
- Familiarity with IT security, compliance, and risk management.
