Your opportunity
This is a 12-month trainee programme focusing on gaining first-hand experience in the team and discovering what your future would be like with us through induction, on the job learning, skills trainings and networking. Business architecture is a strategic change and planning discipline, where you will have the opportunity to develop and apply analytical and consulting skills in shaping the future of the firm.
You will:
- Support the Head of Business Architecture with the implementation of a Business Architecture operating model – working on developing and maintaining business-centric models of our business that help us to understand and plan for the impact of existing and future changes;
- Maintain current state assessments of the business architecture;
- Identify and suggest organisation improvement using the business architecture framework, methodology, and techniques;
- Document current and target state processes accurately and to the level of detail required;
- Canvas stakeholder views/opinions from a broad range of internal teams, including operations, sales, client account management, investments, financial crime compliance and legal;
- Create and amend team management artefacts, including team procedures; controls; internal reporting templates and processes; terms of reference; toolsets; record management;
- Ensure effective document management – Maintain operating model documentation in a well-structured channel in Teams;
- Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills
- Experience of documenting operating models – either in a business architecture role or as a business analyst/equivalent
- Good analytical skills
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Good communication and presentation skills - ability to clearly communicate verbally or non-verbally with colleagues
- Strong team ethic - ability to work with others to achieve a common goal
- Problem-solving – being able to identify and analyze a problem and creatively pose a solution
- Wanting to stay curious, ask questions and learn new skills
- Good organisation skills – time management, estimating, planning
- Positive attitude – being calm under stress, learning from mistakes and building relationships
- Strong work ethic – having discipline, integrity, professionalism, and punctuality
- Ability to effectively prioritise and juggle those priorities as required
Nice to have skills
- Aligned Project Certification beneficial
- Experience with Microsoft Visio and/or other process capture tools
- Microsoft PowerBI
- Relational databases
- Background in financial services (ideally asset management)
