Your opportunity
The U.S. Content Team plays a central role in supporting Janus Henderson’s mission of delivering differentiated insights. This role is instrumental in sharing the intellectual capital of our investment teams with clients in a timely, easy-to-consume and relevant manner.
- Collaborate with investment teams to ideate, write, and edit the firm’s most complex and high-profile equities and alternatives investment communications, including macroeconomic commentary, market updates, portfolio manager perspectives, portfolio-specific commentary, positioning papers and/or other collateral on timely industry topics.
- Conduct in-depth research to support content development, lead portfolio manager and analyst interviews, fact check statements and references, gather and interpret financial data, and analyze portfolio attribution.
- Follow market and economic trends and proactively communicate investment teams’ views on timely topics via quick-turn articles and videos, longer-form briefs and papers, webcasts, podcasts, and media placements.
- Structure pieces in line with the broader JHI content framework, with a focus on bringing our differentiated insights to light, explaining the investment implications of our views, and highlighting potential client implementation techniques.
- Establish an understanding of Janus Henderson’s priority products and build relationships with key stakeholders across Investments, Marketing, Distribution, Media Relations, and Compliance.
- Take content from concept through completion, ensuring deliverables are compliant for use across distribution channels and regions and suitable for the evolving needs of clients. Customize content to meet client-specific and varied end-use requirements as needed.

Must have skills
- In-depth understanding of the global economy, financial markets – particularly equities and alternatives – and the asset management industry, with five+ years of financial writing or financial journalism experience
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to distil complex topics into clear and concise articles
- Resourcefulness, with the ability to research, data mine, and interpret and conceptualize data to lend credibility to articles and create exhibits that support stories
- Creative and strategic thinking, with a willingness to think outside of “normal” processes; able to review financial market conditions and portfolio characteristics to extract ideas that help differentiate Janus Henderson from industry peers
- Diligence, as well as strong planning, prioritization, and implementation skills, with a focus on deadlines and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Rapport-building, verbal communication, and relationship management skills, with the ability to interview and interact effectively with teams across the organization
Nice to have skills
- Degree-level education, with finance, economics, or similar relevant degree
- Financial qualifications – IMC or CFA, or minimum 10 years of industry experience
- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency
- Interest in or experience with driving efficiencies through the use of AI-powered tools
- Bloomberg expertise
- WordPress experience

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
