Your opportunity 

 

  • Responsible for managing daily operations of the print room, ensuring the accurate and timely production of printed materials according to company standards.
  • Operate and maintain a high volume print and finishing equipment, formatting jobs for print, monitoring quality control, and coordinating with internal departments to meet production deadlines.
  • Operates an array of equipment including digital production printers, large format printer, booklet maker, and binding/finishing equipment to complete a variety of assignments for internal customers.
  • Packing and shipping completed print requests to remote employees, conferences, and external clients as requested. 
  • Able to troubleshoot issues and perform minor equipment maintenance as needed. Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule on all equipment. Schedules service technicians to service equipment as needed.
  • Tracks key metrics including meter reads, paper usage, service calls, downtime, and job ticketing.
  • Tracks inventory and supplies including paper, inks, toners, maintenance kits, and bindery materials.
  • Create and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Ensure that all elements of the workspace are in good condition and promote a safe and effective work environment.  
  • May assist with mail delivery functions including sorting, inserting, metering, receiving, and delivery as needed.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills

 

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience operating digital print equipment in an in-plant or commercial print environment
  • Requires excellent communication and customer service skills ensuring that job requirements are clearly understood, jobs are completed on time with exceptional quality, and client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must.
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently and within established guidelines
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Fiery, and ONYX
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, sometimes repetitively

 

Nice to have skills

 

  • Experience with large format printing including utilization of print RIPs, knowledge of various substrates and their job appropriateness, manipulation of printer settings to achieve desired results, finishing/trimming and installation of printed materials.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work without direct supervision for 80% of the time

Compensation information 

 

The base salary range for this position is $50,000-$58,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.  This role will remain open through the end of Augues 25, 2025.
