Your Opportunity
You will:
- Work closely with the Portfolio Managers by providing assistance and support during the order generation and compliance approval process. This may include generating or editing orders.
- Handle all aspects of trading and model generation for the SMA business. Responsibilities include deriving and maintaining portfolio models on multiple sponsor platforms with unique requirements based on portfolio management activity along with preparation, trade routing for execution and confirmation of trades in the Archer system. Trade preparation includes but is not limited to new accounts, liquidating accounts, drift monitoring, trade rotation approval, tax lot harvesting and corporate action processing.
- Generate derivative hedge trades on behalf of the investment team including options, futures, FX forwards and swaps, and liaise with Operations teams to communicate trade details needed for valuation and back-office booking.
- Provide daily monitoring across various dynamics, such as cash levels, corporate actions and derivative expiry, and provide proactive guidance to Portfolio Managers based on these activities.
- Undertake global trade basket monitoring and FX responses where applicable.
- Manage Request for Proposal and client Due Diligence Questionnaires on behalf of the investment team.
- Offer tactical support to assist Portfolio Managers meeting Client demands.
- Act as central point for Portfolio Managers investment support and order management queries, proactively investigate data challenges, cash discrepancies.
- Undertake periodic reviews and enhancements to ensure PSG teams workflows and controls processes remain relevant and value add.
- Act as a proxy for Portfolio Manager and Trading during projects, contributing to requirements, scope, testing and development.
- Assist the traders with staging orders for execution or addressing ad hoc issues or requests during the order execution process.
- Generate and/or fill trade orders to facilitate currency, internal cross, IPO, secondary offering and private placement transactions.
- Assist in researching and resolving problems including compliance issues, trade errors, problems with securities, reporting requirements and/or monetary issues.
- Perform quality control activities to ensure accuracy of trade order calculations.
- Maintain data in multiple trading databases, including setting up/updating securities, creation and maintenance of broker, etc.
- Assist in the basic testing and implementing of new systems and system enhancement/upgrades.
- Effectively raise issues to management when appropriate.
- Liaise with counterparties on trade details and resolve issues as necessary.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory responsibilities

- One to two years of related experience in the mutual fund/financial services industry preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree required. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for one year of experience.
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
- Fixed Income security knowledge in addition to Equities is a preferred
- Data automation and coding capabilities are preferred

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $70,000-$90,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This position will be open through August 31, 2026.
