Your opportunity
- Initiate and/or follow up on sales calls, provide intermediaries with sales ideas, answer product and service questions, provide performance data, identify new sales opportunities and help launch new products.
- The core duty involves making outbound sales calls to both existing clients and prospective clients. The aim is to promote and sell Janus Henderson's products, leveraging a thorough understanding of these products to meet sales targets.
- Responsible for creating a monthly webcast series in conjunction with practice management, portfolio construction, product management, thought leadership etc.
- Proactive engagement with clients and prospects to provide additional sales ideas, answer queries about products, provide performance data, and identify new sales opportunities. This also includes supporting the launch of new products.
- Utilize our CRM and other relevant database software to track interactions with clients, monitor the progression of client relationships, and efficiently manage client data.
- Generating innovative sales ideas, spotting new opportunities, and presenting these strategies to the internal sales team to enhance overall sales efforts.
- Provide leadership and direction to the remote sales team. Inspire and motivate team members to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Participating in training sessions, developmental programs, and undergoing skills assessments to continuously improve professional skills and performance.
- Additional Duties: Performing other tasks as assigned, which implies a degree of flexibility is required in the role to meet various business needs as they arise.

Must have skills
- B.S. or B.A. in related field, approximately four years of related experience and/or training in a client support or internal sales role and four years of experience in the mutual fund/financial services industry and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- Series 7 and 63 licenses required prior to hire.
- Advanced industry designation (CIMA, CFP, CFA, APMA or other pertinent designation) or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of financial industry products such as mutual funds, ETF’s, model portfolios and separately managed accounts (SMA’s) to respond to client inquiries, provide answers, and to identify selling opportunities.
- Ability to initiate outbound sales telephone calls to clients provide sales ideas, answers product questions, provide performance data, identify new sales opportunities, and help launch new products.
Nice to have skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to develop strategic business relationships.
- Janus Henderson product knowledge is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Have a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work with little supervision.
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and ability to use client relationship management (CRM) database software applications.

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $180,000 – $200,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will remain open through September 15, 2025.

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
