Your opportunity
As a Regulatory Reporting Analyst, you will support the accurate, timely, and controlled production of regulatory reporting across multiple global jurisdictions. You will be part of a Budapest-based execution team responsible for delivering regulatory reporting obligations and maintaining a strong control environment across key regulatory regimes including AIFMD, MiFID II Transaction Reporting, EMIR, SFTR, and Mexican regulatory reporting.
This is a hands-on analyst role focused on reporting accuracy, regulatory compliance, operational controls, data quality, and deadline delivery.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports in accordance with defined procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Perform data preparation, validation, reconciliation, and exception management activities for regulatory reporting processes.
- Investigate reporting breaks, validation failures, reconciliations, and regulatory exceptions, ensuring timely resolution.
- Monitor data quality and identify issues impacting regulatory reporting completeness, accuracy, or timeliness.
- Support regulatory change initiatives, testing activities, and implementation of new reporting requirements.
- Maintain process documentation, control procedures, and operational checklists.
- Assist with responses to internal audits, compliance reviews, regulator enquiries, and control testing activities.
- Escalate issues, errors, or control concerns to senior team members or Team Leads as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, efficiency, and automation.

Must have skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of data quality and operational accuracy.
- Solid understanding of financial instruments, trade lifecycle, and middle office processes (or the ability to learn quickly).
- Ability to follow established procedures while identifying areas where controls can be strengthened.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and propose practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across operations, technology, compliance, and other internal teams.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
- The intellectual curiosity to identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Nice to have skills
- Experience investigating reporting exceptions, rejected submissions, and regulatory data quality issues.
- Understanding of controls, governance, and oversight requirements within a regulatory reporting function.
- Familiarity with transaction reporting requirements for equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange products.
