Your opportunity

Support the seamless operation of Investment Accounting reconciliation processes across multiple asset classes and products. The role is responsible for performing and supporting daily reconciliation activities, including Custody Reconciliations (IBOR), Performance Records Reconciliations (PBOR), ABOR vs. IBOR reconciliations, and client market value reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of investment data used by portfolio managers and internal and external stakeholders.

 

The Analyst operates within a strong control framework, investigating and resolving reconciliation breaks, escalating issues appropriately, and contributing to a robust operational risk and regulatory compliance environment while working collaboratively within the wider Investment Operations function.

 

  • Perform daily cash, position, transaction, and market value reconciliations across multiple asset classes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR)
  • Investigate, analyse, and resolve reconciliation breaks in a timely manner, escalating issues appropriately in line with established procedures
  • Work closely with internal teams including Corporate Actions, Pricing, Trade Support, and Portfolio Support to resolve data discrepancies and operational issues
  • Liaise with external service providers such as custodians, fund accountants, and counterparties to support break resolution and data validation
  • Ensure reconciliations are completed accurately and within defined service level agreements, maintaining high standards of data quality and operational control
  • Support reconciliations across a broad range of asset types, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives, in accordance with documented procedures
  • Identify recurring issues, control gaps, or process inefficiencies and raise improvement opportunities to the Team Lead or Manager
  • Assist with operational projects, system enhancements, and process changes, including testing and implementation activities where required
  • Adhere to internal policies, operational controls, and external regulatory requirements, supporting audits and reviews as needed
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to a collaborative and client‑focused operating environment

Must have skills

 

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of data quality and operational accuracy
  • Solid understanding of financial instruments, trade lifecycle, and middle office processes (or the ability to learn quickly)
  • Ability to follow established procedures while identifying areas where controls can be strengthened
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and propose practical solutions
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across operations, technology, compliance, and other internal teams
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
  • The intellectual curiosity to identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
