Your opportunity 

  • You will play a key role in supporting asset growth and client retention by leading the production of high-quality DDQs, RFIs and RFPs that communicate Janus Henderson's capabilities, investment expertise and competitive strengths in a clear, accurate and compelling manner.
  • You will lead a newly established Budapest-based Proposal Writing team, providing day-to-day leadership, coaching and oversight while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • You will be responsible for managing the Budapest team's book of work, ensuring requests are prioritised, assigned appropriately and delivered to agreed deadlines.
  • You will partner closely with internal stakeholders to understand proposal requirements, establish delivery timelines, manage expectations and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • You will work closely with workflow managers and team leaders in London, Denver and other locations to coordinate global capacity, ensure appropriate coverage and support consistent service delivery across the function.
  • You will contribute directly to DDQs, RFIs and RFPs, while providing guidance and support to team members on complex, strategic or time-sensitive opportunities.
  • You will oversee quality assurance across the Budapest team, including proofreading, content review and compliance checking, to ensure responses remain accurate, consistent, appropriately sourced and aligned with regulatory and firm requirements.
  • You will be responsible for onboarding, training and developing team members, helping to build capability, resilience and subject matter expertise across the team.
  • You will work with Knowledge Management, Investments, Product, Legal and Compliance teams to maintain and improve proposal content, ensuring information remains current, accurate and aligned with approved messaging.
  • You will actively partner with other team leads and the Head of Presentations & RFP to drive continuous improvement, develop AI and technology-enabled solutions, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, scalability and quality across the proposal-writing process. All AI-assisted outputs must be subject to appropriate human review and oversight to ensure accuracy, regulatory appropriateness and alignment with Janus Henderson standards

Must have skills

  • Strong proposal-writing, editing and proofreading skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality DDQ, RFI and RFP content that is accurate, compelling and aligned with business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven experience within asset management, financial services or investment marketing, including a strong understanding of investment products, financial markets and the terminology used in institutional and intermediary client communications.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines, prioritise effectively and oversee a high-volume book of work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to gather requirements, clarify expectations, negotiate delivery timelines and build effective working relationships across Sales, Client, Product, Investment, Compliance and Marketing teams.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop colleagues, including onboarding, training, performance feedback, quality assurance and the ongoing development of team capability.
  • Strong attention to detail and risk awareness, with the ability to review and challenge content to ensure it is accurate, consistent, appropriately sourced and compliant with regulatory requirements, firm standards and client expectations.
  • Experience managing workflows, resource allocation and workload balancing across a team, including partnering with colleagues in multiple locations to ensure work is appropriately prioritised, assigned and delivered.
  • Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets and asset management, together with the ability to translate complex information into clear, client-focused responses.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, quality and operational resilience.
  • Experience using AI, automation and technology solutions to improve productivity and content management, together with the judgement to ensure all AI-assisted outputs are independently reviewed, validated and approved prior to use. You will be expected to actively champion the responsible use of AI and partner with other team leads and the Head of Presentations & RFP to develop innovative, technology-enabled solutions across the proposal-writing process.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

 

Nice to have skills

 

  • Experience leading or mentoring colleagues, supporting onboarding, training programmes or capability development initiatives.
  • Experience managing workflow, resource allocation or production processes within a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience working with proposal databases, content management systems, knowledge management platforms or sales enablement tools.
  • Experience partnering with Compliance, Legal or Risk teams to support content governance, regulatory review or approval processes.
  • Experience leading or participating in process improvement, automation or technology transformation initiatives, including the practical application of AI to improve efficiency and content quality.
  • Experience working across cultures and supporting globally distributed teams across multiple locations and time zones.
  • Understanding of document management, version control, audit-ready record retention and operational best practices within a regulated environment.
  • Experience supporting multiple distribution channels, client types or investment vehicles (e.g. institutional, intermediary, mutual funds, SICAVs, ETFs or segregated accounts).
