Your opportunity
The Listed Derivatives Operations Analyst supports the accurate and timely processing of exchange‑traded derivatives across global markets. This includes futures, options, and other listed derivative instruments, ensuring trades are executed, cleared, settled, and reconciled in line with internal controls, clearing house rules, and regulatory requirements.
The role has a strong focus on the post‑trade derivatives lifecycle, including trade capture, clearing, margining, collateral movements, and exception management. It offers exposure to high‑volume listed derivatives activity, global clearing infrastructures, and opportunities to support operational enhancements and change initiatives as the function evolves.
Listed Derivatives Lifecycle Processing
- Perform trade capture, verification, and affirmation for listed derivatives, ensuring accurate booking in internal trading and post‑trade systems
- Support clearing and settlement processes through CCPs and executing brokers
- Monitor daily derivatives activity, including expiries, exercises, assignments, and lifecycle events
- Ensure timely processing of all post‑trade activities in line with market deadlines
Margin, Collateral & Cash Management
- Support daily margin calls, variation margin, initial margin, and related cash movements
- Reconcile margin statements received from clearing brokers and CCPs
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to margin, collateral, and derivative cash flows
Exception Management & Controls
- Investigate and resolve trade breaks, margin differences, settlement fails, and position mismatches
- Liaise with brokers, clearing houses, custodians, and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently
- Escalate high‑risk or time‑critical issues in line with defined escalation and risk management procedures
- Maintain a strong control environment, including reconciliations and data accuracy checks
Stakeholder & Market Interaction
- Act as an operational contact for Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Custody, Technology, and external counterparties
- Respond to internal and external queries relating to listed derivatives in a professional and timely manner
- Build effective working relationships across Operations and the broader business
Operational Excellence
- Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the documentation, maintenance, and enhancement of derivatives operating procedures
- Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies and propose process improvement opportunities
Change & Continuous Development
- Support system enhancements, new product onboarding, and process improvement initiatives affecting listed derivatives
- Participate in testing and implementation activities for new markets, exchanges, CCPs, or system changes
- Perform additional duties as required to support the broader Listed Derivatives Operations function

Must have skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of data quality and operational accuracy.
- Solid understanding of financial instruments, trade lifecycle, and middle office processes (or the ability to learn quickly).
- Ability to follow established procedures while identifying areas where controls can be strengthened.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and propose practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across operations, technology, compliance, and other internal teams.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
- The intellectual curiosity to identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
